I know I had promised to put up some pics of Noah's new bed. Sorry its a little late but I was able to paint his walls a few weeks ago so it's really all starting to come together. I still have a few other things in mind, like a border, a magnet board for one wall and maybe a new lamp. But for now I think it looks really cute and I love having COLOR in there for him now! When we were renting, painting with color wasn't an option!
Noah has done very well being in his new bed! I think he really loves it too cuz now when he gets up from nap or in the morning he can just play with his toys!
So today was a relax-just hang out with noah-recover from work-day. I know I only work 3 days a week but when they are 12-13 hr days all right in a row, it can really wear me out! I like to take a day and do what I call "recover". That usually consists of lounging in my pj's till around 2, laundry, dishes and lots of story time with Noah! ;)
Jeremy was working today so it was just me and my little kiddo! He's such fun these days with his little phrases he is saying and the things that make him laugh! I could listen to him giggle all day! ;)
I had planned to catch up on my reading but so far I have gotten about a page read. I'm re-reading the book Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge with the women at church Bible study. I had read it about 2 years ago and it really had an impact on me. It opened my eyes to the way God really sees me and has left me a changed woman because of the realities that it brought me to. I'm so excited to read it again though because I know God has more for me to get out of it. I defiantly recommend any woman to read it!
Here are a few pics of the past few weeks.
We are currently driving home in the rain from a great family trip to Kentucky! It was a pretty short trip but still good to see everyone. Jeremy's parents were there from Michigan and it had been a while since seeing them. Noah had a great time playing with his cousins and his Nana and Papaw!
The weather was just soo hot and humid so we all pretty much just sweated it out and wished for cooler air! Well we got our wish! It rained last night and cooled everything off quite a bit! Today its barely holding at 60 and with the rain, it feels chilly!! Of course I didn't pack myself and pants or even a jacket! The dollar store came in helpful for a jacket! I'm so glad I packed some warm clothes for Noah though! ;) Dispite the rain, Noah still had fun. Playing in the rain with his new Elmo umbrella! He's still learning the concept of it so he still got quite soaked! Lol He loved to tell us "Its RAINING! "
He loved chasing, looking and pointing out the chickens all weekend! He's so funny!! He would squat down somewhat close to one and say "Hi chicken" but if it even started to move Noah's way, he would run back to me in horror!! Lol
We have started potty training somewhat. Actually he was all excited when I first bought his new potty and even went pee pee 3 times but that soon faded. Anytime I would ask him if he needed to go potty he would run and whine the other way! Lol So I haven't pushed him but just let him go when he's ready. He's gone pee a few times this last week. Well to my big surprise, a few hours after getting to KY on Saturday, he came with me once to go potty then about a hr later, he said "I gotta potty" and ran towards the house. So I took him in there and he went pee pee on the potty!!! Not even his own lil potty but the big potty! With mommys help of course! ;) It was a proud moment for us! I think he's getting the idea! ;)
Hope you all had a great holiday weekend! Here's a few pics from our trip!
Watching cartoons and having a snack with the cousins....notice where Noah is sitting....lol
Well this past week we took our first family vacation to Daytona Beach, Florida! It was so awesome to finally get away!
We had an amazing time!! Noah was pretty apprehensive about being on the beach but each day he got more and more comfortable with it and was soon loving it and didn't want to leave!! The hotel we stayed at was right on the beach and had a nice big pool with a kiddie pool next to it. He loved both and is quite the little fish in the water! His vocabulary has been growing by leaps and bounds this week. New words he says very clearly are beach, pool, seagull, milk, ocean, juice, and even Mickey Mouse!! He had a blast every day and we love to see him be such a happy-go-lucky boy!! Life is pretty sweet in this season and we are loving being parents to such a sweet boy!
Here are some pics from our trip. Hope you enjoy!!
